Disabling the Address Book Server on Director RRS feed

  • Question

  •

We are performing an upgrade from LCS to OCS and have replaced our Access Proxy with OCS Access Edge.  We have also replaced the LCS Director with an OCS Director.  However, when we get to step 2 (page 52 in the OCS 2007 Edge Server Deployment Guide) and deactivating the Address Book Server, we are getting something not entirely corresponding with the book.  When we run the query "Select * from MSFT_SIPAddressBookSetting where BackEnd="SQL database instance", we come up with no objects.  Also, if we follow the steps in 12.4 (page 46 in the Migrating to OCS 2007), when we get to the step "Instances" and continue, we have no fields listed.

    Any ideas?

  • You may use the wrong query. If the Director was installed as a standard edition, you should use the below querry.

With the standard edition, the database is SQL 2005 Express edition and it is install on the same server as the Director.

    Select * from MSFT_SIPAddressBookSetting where BackEnd= (local)\\rtc
