off topic - sound problem

  Hi: windows media player suddenly started playing a short music audio from somewhere?? while listening to another download file, and it just kept repeating.. I tried to change sound options and now I cannot get any sound. Device manager says the sound cards and all drivers are working good.

  Can one-care correct this?
