Cannot install Widows Genuine Advantage Notification KB905474 RRS feed

    I have installed the latest Microsoft Updates, however "the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification KB905474" and "Office Genuine Advantage Notification KB949810" updates fail to install. This problem is on numerous computers and it seems to have started after January 1, 2010.

     - Downloaded the "Windows Genuine Advantage Notification KB905474" and was able to install from the "WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-X86.exe"

    Hello Dan - OHSD,

    Even though the updates you are having difficulty with are WGA and OGA related, they are still Windows Updates and the downloading and installing of such is supported thru normal WU support means, such as:

    PS--As a side note, whe have been told by several posters that the OGA Update (KB949810) will not install if the Task Scheduler service is not set on auto and functioning.
