What is the difference between CreatedBy and CreatedBy(Delegate)? RRS feed

    Hi All,

    An userA created some Leads in MS CRM 2013. Some of the leads 'CreatedBy' is Admin user and some of them have userA. Why is that so?

    Observed that 'CreatedBy(delegate)' have the correct userA for the records whose 'CreatedBy' is admin.

    Created By (Delegate) happens for a record that was created by other user that is acting as someone else (impersonation). The relevant privilege of "Act on Behalf of Another User". this could happen when the admin user is setting things for UserA or integration that is using the admin account to set the owner as User A

    Thanks for the reply.

    The leads I was talking about are created manually in CRM. If we are creating the Leads manually in CRM, why is the CreatedBy differing for some records as Admin?

    Verified the plugins and no where we are impersonating the user.
