Privacy Settings Reset with Version 2.0

Question
-
I have one XP SP2 computer and one Vista Premium computer both with OneCare 2.0 installed. Since the auto-upgrade to OneCare 2.0 my Privacy Settings in IE7 have been getting randomly reset to Medium on both computers. I normally run my Privacy Settings on "Advanced---Allow First Party Cookies, Block Third Party Cookies" which keeps the majority of unwanted cookies off of my computer.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem and if so, how can I stop it?

Yes, we all are. This is part of the monitored settings in OneCare and it is a setting that we can't control. According to the logs (change settings, logging tab, create support log) you'll see that there are 24 items, unidentified, that OneCare is monitoring and resetting.
And you are not alone in expressing your displeasure on this change.
Hopefully, we will get details on what is being changed and be given the ability to override the OneCare selected settings.
This one is particularly stupid in that your preferred settings are more secure than what OneCare is changing it to.

Hello,
This is my first post ever to anything related to technical issues, and my comments just might be repeating the first poster but I wanted to voice my thoughts on OneCare taking. I believe it is alive because it over my internet settings and I am getting the vibe that I lack control with the product. (Am able to mess with a few settings - but it is not user friendly)
Steve, I hear you. Perhaps Qwest/Live/Microsoft/? Will get enough details and complaints to take the time to fix this annoying and unnecessary issue. As a customer, I appreciate that (and your honesty)... Nevertheless, one would think it could just be taken out, or changed to an option in the settings - seems like a simple tweak any developer could do? (I am a tech recruiter w/13 yrs exp. I can find someone for you... kidding)
Although, I must admit, that my preferred settings are much less secure than what OneCare changes them to... and it is a PAIN to remember to go in a change them all back every time it does it's thing. I do get this free for being a Qwest/MSN (I mean Qwest/Live) customer - but I had already paid for an application I liked and had to remove it from my computer. It did the same thing that as OneCare and a bit more, plus I could control the application. In addition, my computer does the same clean up as OneCare.
The reason I chose OneCare, was so my provider could help me with issues, and they have. However, it seems like I have little control over OneCare and that just warps my world.
Thanks for listening.

Wendy in Colorado
