Not a question. Just wanted to come in and give a thumbs up, and a cheers to everyone behind Microsoft Fix It. I ran 3-4 of the Fix Its for my computer that almost appeared hijacked it was so slow, and now it's purring, and running as quickly as the day
I bought it 3 years ago.
I'm no dummy of an end user. I know about dumping cookies and cache, operating behind a router, and using a good internet security AV. But for whatever reason, my computer started running extremely slow. I used Fix It to change my Hosts file back to default
(in case it had been tampered with), and then used the personal select/custom Fix It to choose which startup applications to disable. Among them was something ominiously titled "<default>." Coupled with several other quasi-server like applications I
had going at startup, they were all disabled. After a reboot, it was like my computer was new.
If I could buy the people who developed this service a round of drinks I would. I only wish this feature was here years ago for the graveyard of my old abandoned computers. Infinite thanks. Keep up the good work, guys.
