CRM 2011 Production reports missing from imported org to Dev system RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've successfully set up a copy of our Production CRM 2011 (CRM and SQL reside on different servers) to a development server (CRM and SQL coexist). Both residing in the same domain.

    1. Took a copy of the prod Db and restored it to the the dev sql

    2. Installed CRM on the dev server

    3. Imported the organization from the restored Db to the the dev

No hitches, all went well. Only issue is I can' run the reports. Do I need to copy the Prod SSRS Db to the Dev SSRS

Below is the error in the App logs when trying to run a report.

Web service request GetDataSources to Report Server http://server/reportserver_mssqlcrmdev failed with SoapException. Error: The item '/DevOrgName_MSCRM/CustomReports/{D9FE84B5-82AA-E111-A428-0050569F026B}' cannot be found. (rsItemNotFound)

    Thanks for any help.

  • Try running <Drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Tools\Publishreports.exe "<orgname>" to re-publish the reports.

  • Hi Mike,

Can you run any standard CRM reports from this deployment? When you imported the Org you should have specified the report server URL. Can you go in there and run the reports from there?
