Configuring of new PC failed: Could not add the PC, please try again after some time. RRS feed

  • Please help!

     

    I'm having a constant error message as stated in the subject line.  No matter how many times I go back to resolve the issue, the issue remains.  I need to assign one of my pc's as a hub pc and use this on a total of 3 pc's.  How do I rid myself of the error message and square off on my problem?

  • Jeff, could you clarify what the problem is and what you are encountering?

    Are you trying to activate a copy of OneCare recently installed or is it already activated and you are simply trying to make that PC a hub?

    At what point are you encountering the error? Are you being asked to provide your LiveID? Is it the subscription LiveID shown in Help/About on an activated PC?

    I have the same problem: OneCare is activated, I have made my desktop PC a Hub, but on both the hub and the laptop I am trying to add, I keep getting the same unhelpful error message, no matter what quantity of 'some time' I use.

    This has occurred after re-formatting both machines, installing new operating systems and fresh installations of OneCare.

  • Hello, Mark.

    Have you made one PC a hub successfully? If so, adding the other PC is done by simply activating OneCare on the other PC with the subscription LiveID - by being activated with the same LiveID, it is automatically part of the Circle and will appear on the hub shortly - as long as communications is not being blocked.
