    Hi all,

     

           for a customer i try to install OCS r2 Ent in this example situation :

     

    DC and FrontEnd :  domain.com

     

    SQL 2005 SP1 :      domain2.com

     

    During installation I try to connect to sql instance with no success... it give me a instance error

     

    My question is : Can I use "sql auth" instead "Windows auth" during Enterprise installation ?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately you cannot configure OCS to connect via SQL auth. Are the two domains in the same forest? If so, then make sure you are running the installation with a user with domain admin rights in both domains. If not, you will need to consider creating a trust between the 2 forests or use a SQL server in the same domain as the Front End.
