Redistributing HPC Pack 2016

    Question

  • I am working on an application that uses HPC Pack 2016 and am not clear on the ways I should redistribute the HPC Pack DLLs. I see from the following post that for 2008, the redistributable package should be shipped rather than the dlls.

    https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/Azure/en-US/bbbe0894-435b-4fa7-afe6-27f2217a9d54/what-license-information-to-include-when-shipping-an-app-containing-some-hpc-dlls?forum=windowshpcdevs

I cannot seem to find an equivalent redistributable package for 2016, and therefore if you could clarify how the HPC 2016 dependencies should be shipped it would be appreciated.

  • You could use the Nuget Package and included in your application for HPC 2016 (Please use HPC Pack 2016 Update 1 RTM), the nuget package is here:

    https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.HPC.SDK/

  • Hello,

I have a follow up question. What licensing documentation should be included when distributing an application which includes the HPC Pack 2016 nuget package dependencies?

There is a "License Info" link on the nuget package's webpage. However, this license agreement seems to be for HPC Pack 2012.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Hi Qiufang, could you point me to the link for the updated license. The only one I can find is old one at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=43972.

    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Currently you could get it from the setup folder of HPC Pack 2016 Update 1, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56360
