According to the informations published in the Windows 8 Release Preview FAQ page, Windows 7 can be updated to Windows 8 Release Preview. Do not forget that Windows 8 is still a preview, not a RTM version.
Office 2010 should be compatible too, according to the informations published on the Compatibility Center for Windows 8 Release Preview at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/en-US/CompatCenter/ProductViewerWithUpdatedFilters?Type=Software_Products&Architecture=X64&CurrentPage=0&TotalPages=2&ShowCriteria=10%20Results%20Per%20Page&SortCriteria=Relevance&IsSearchWithinFilterAvailable=False&FilterByType=Software_Products&FilterByCompatibility=ALL&TextSearch=Office%202010&AbsolutePage=-1&LastRequested=5&ProductName=Office%202010&LastSearchTerm=Office%202010.For any other question related to Windows 8 Release Preview, go to the Windows Answers Forum at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8.
