Problem with Money Sunset installation on Windows 7

Question
-
I have Sunset up and running in Windows 7 and the backup file sucessfully restored but now it won't let me do anything. I've tried entering a transaction into an account and both entering and editing a bill but I get a pop-up telling me that I entered it the month before. Any ideas anyone??

Why did you restore a backup?
Why not simply use the live MNY file (or at least a copy of it to be on the safe side)?

Are you in North America? If not, that could point to a problem using Money Plus.
Did you have a problem with Money before installing Money Plus?
Do you have an earlier backup that you could use? Maybe when you had your problem, you saved a backup of the file with the problem.
Try making a repaired version of your file. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466/en-us This could be applied to your *.mny file that pre-dated your new installation as banjomike suggests. If that does not fix it, what are the answers to the three quesions above.

Also where did you restore your file to? Is it in your My Documents folder?Saturday, November 26, 2011 9:55 PM

Doh! Probably because I didn't know any better. :-(
I was thinking of uninstalling, reinstalling then trying the MNY file as you have stated but i've read up on my error message and it appears that the version I installed was a US one and I am in the UK. I can't find a UK version so does this mean i'm screwed and I should look for something else??
