  • Hello McKGirl,

The Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 is Non-Genuine.  It was installed using a Invalid Volume Licensce Key (VLK). VLK software is not to be sold to consumers, but are designed for large organizations that need 10s 100s or 1000s of Office installs.  In this case the VLK is Invalid. This means it was created with a Piracy software called a Key Generator (KeyGen).  In other words, Microsoft did not create or release this key.

I highly recommend returning the software for a Full Refund. (Do not believe them if they try to tell you that it's a bug and that you just need to download the "patch" from thier website).  I recommend involving PayPal if the seller becomes troublesome about giving you your money back.

The current crop of counterfeit software is very very well done, apperently due to the fact that the counterfeit product is sometimes made in the same factories that manufacturer the "real McCoy."

  • Darin,

Thanks for your response and those very interesting links.  I have requested a refund from the seller.  This product must be from the 'third shift'!
