I want to study web based database programming, like online shop or similar RRS feed

  • Question

  • I hope the title says it.

I learnt and forgot Asp.net with net.20. Now I want study newer technology, but I don't know where to start. I think I know what Linq is. But there are so many forums that I don't know where to start (asking basic questions). A Technology name would help too. With that it was possible to find walkthroughs and videos.

  • Hello,

    I'd ask in Microsoft's ASP.Net forums:

    http://forums.asp.net/

As Microsoft's ASP.Net forums are on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

  • Here are a couple links for you:

    https://www.zoho.com/creator/create-online-database.html

    http://www.scbbs.com/node/36

First thing you want to decide is which online platform to you want to learn, IE PHP, Microsoft, etc.  This will then lead you to the most popular databases used on that platform.

If you are looking at Microsoft, then I would learn SQL as that ends up being the Database on the back end of a lot of major online development work.

Microsoft provides a lot of great resources here: http://www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com/

    I hope that helps.

Not sure what you meant by "here" but the asp.net forums Karl mentions are Microsoft hosted forums.

My English grammar is not perfect. I looked the forum listing here

    https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?category=usingforums

And didn't notice ASP.NET. So there are other MS forums somewhere else.
