Synchronization of 2 external HDD using different PCs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have 2 external hard disk, (1 at home and 1 at work) on which I daily backups are stored for the respective computers. Every now and then I bring these 2 disks together to synchronize, therefore the backup is not stored in the same location as the original data.

So far I have been doing synchronizations at home, which is where I originally set up the pairing folders. Now, I triy to do the synchronization at work, so I installed SyncToy v2 but I am prompted to create new pairing folders. Is this supposed to happen? How can I look for existing pairing folders?

I have searched through the forum but was unable to find an answer.

    Please help,

As side note I cannot see the pairing folders. I have turned on show hidden files and show system files, but still I cannot see them.

  • Hey,

I am trying to understand your scenario here. When you setup the folder pair on your home machine, what are the left folder and right folder you use? and Do you expect to see the same folder pair on the work machine as well?
