Live Product (beta) Reduced Pages Indexed? RRS feed

  • Question

  •

The "Live Product" directory did not work well for us at all. The images never appeared as they should have and some of the links were not allowed and so on.

As a final result the pages that were listed on MSN and Live are a third of what they totaled before trying the Live Product Catalog system.

We have a sitemap in place pointing to our Web site fabricstodyefor.com and still the pages that are listed in the sitemap are not listed as thoroughly as once before.

As a result we now receive more traffic from Yahoo and Google. Where before MSN and Live together totaled more hits than Google or Yahoo.

  • Hi,

This is an interesting case. You definately have a high enough rank to get a thourough index and it looks like it was up to March or so. Would you mind filling out the search support form so that we can create a support ticket?

    Thanks,

  • Brett, We sent in a support ticket and sure hope we can get our pages back. Even so I wish the way the site was indexed was more congruent with the sets of data that are given. Essentially the site has cataloged complete lines of products by any number of manufactures only with most search queries you'd never know it. But only as a thought so much the suggestion that the MSN directory could instead index some sites for what they are when the data is simply a product line catalog.
