  • I bought this laptop about a year ago now and been running fine. Yesterday i got a message saying my windows is not genuine. I wanted to try to re enter my code but it was on the bottom of my laptop and it has faded away. Validation info below.

    the indications are tat the issue is indeed activation -related.
    What happens if you try and validate at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate ?
    Unfortunately, if you cannot read the OCA sticker, your options may be very limited - basically either a reformat/reinstall using the recovery system, or the purchase of a new Full Retail license.
