iso files and images hassles...

  i'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but...i'm trying to create iso files to save on my hdd using dvd shrink 3.2,...sometimes it says it can't read disk, even though it plays on my varius media players, it also says not enough memory sometimes??? also the ones i was able to create only mount and play on daemon tools or magic iso,...should i have a newer version of shrink??? i tried viewing tutorials but they only talked about burning a iso image to disk,... BJC^^^
