Reset numbering for Quotes? RRS feed

  • I'm attempting to set the starting number for our quotations in CRM 4.0 but the number field says 01000 and I cannot get into the field to change it.  It appears that that field is read only.  The help says the field becomes read only if the numbering is saved.  I'm the only admin and I've not set the quote numbering.  Am I doing something wrong?  Is there any way to fool CRM into thinking that the quote numbering hasn't been set?  No quotations have been done so there will be no possibility of two quotes having the same number.  Thanks in advance.

  • This could be accomplished with a little SQL -(It's stored in the OrganizationBase table "CurrentQuoteNumber") - But it would be unsupported change.

    I would encourage you to work with Microsoft Support to have them help you set this value to the starting number you desire.
