Paste icon in Code Block page

General discussion

i sent an email to not sure where, somewhere microsoft, in my first few weeks of being a member of the msdn forums..
i received one of those automated emails, and that was about it.
the email consisted of an idea to add a paste icon/button in the code block page. something similar to:or
i seem to find this icon very useful on all my developed applications as well as all the other applications i use on a daily basis.

Interesting idea.
Though, this can already be done quite easily as CTRL-V. Also FF View\Toolbars\Customize has "Paste" as abutton that can be added to any toolbar.Monday, July 20, 2009 2:19 PM -
or we can have the application we design do it for us.. ;o) j/k.. thanx for the input.
the main reason for my post, was that there is something there, that will draw the members attention closer to the language selection. for sure new members overlook this option.
a click to paste and a click to select the language, should be quite efficient, over the sign language deal with the keyboard keys..
plus you click the Insert Code Block button , so why not click to paste, select language, insert code..
click,

It could be. Personally, i use the keyboard a lot. So adding a button to do something so easy seems kind of silly to me.
It's an interesting idea, however.Monday, July 20, 2009 6:32 PM -
just a suggestion, might sound silly also...
what if some one armed bandit wanted to use the code block?

as long as he/she has one arm, i would suggest right mouse -> paste :-)

lol
it still takes extra clicks, especially when you need results then and there.. this is microsoft after all.

Well, as slot machines have gone digital, paste won't work anyway. :)Tuesday, July 21, 2009 11:48 AM
