Installation fails no error in log - Vail RRS feed

  • Question

  • It recently brought home a new Asus Eee EB1012P which I thought to add "Vail" (latest release) on,
but i'll get error in the installation when "Expanding windows files 0%" but i don't really can see what is going wrong in the log.
Below is a draft of the final part of the error log

    [11/10/2010 6:43:00 AM 2f0] Successfully cleaned disk \ \? \ PhysicalDrive0
    [11/10/2010 6:43:00 AM 2f0] INFO: Setup Launching Windows Setup ------------------------------ ---

    [11/10/2010 6:43:00 AM 2f0] INFO: Launching Win7 Setup from: X: \ sources \ setup.exe with cmd line: setup.exe / unattend: X: \ Unattend.xml)

The computer meets the system requirements as Vail has, I boot on an external DVD reader on USB port
The disk is found in the installation, so I guess the drivers are available for the "disk controller"

Anyone experienced the same problems or have suggestions on what to do to move forward?

Right now i'm trying to reburn the DVD with ImgBurn and 2x speed using Verbatim DVD, i'll try this later when it's done.

  • Had a bit of a hurry to ask for help, was enough simply to burn the image file again on new DVD with ImgBurn at 2x

Hopefully my post helps someone else :)
