  • Howdy,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your machine, but to be honest its the first Ive heard of these issues on anyones machine.

To uninstall Live Mesh, you should be able to find it in "Add/Remove Programs"

If you cant do this, then you could locate the Mesh folder on your drive and rename the moe.exe file which should stop it running from boot.

  • Hi,

I'm very sorry that you're having such a serious problem.  To verify that it is, indeed, Live Mesh that is causing the issue, Brennon is right that you could try removing Live Mesh while in safe mode.  To remove Live Mesh you need to go into "Add/Remove Programs" (on XP) or "Programs and Features" (on Vista), find Live Mesh, and remove it.

If you determine that Live Mesh is indeed the culprit, please file a bug report with as much information as you can collect so that we can find out what was going on.  Instructions for collecting logs and submitting a bug are in an Announcement at the top of the forums.  I hope you're able to get your machine running again without having to rebuild.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

  • I just tried uninstalling Live Mesh from my computer, but the "add/remove programs" still says that it is installed.  I try uninstalling again, and an error appears that says "fatal error during installation".  I try reinstalling, and it won't let me because it says that it is already on my machine.  Any suggestions?

    Hi,

I would start by trying the suggestions in this sticky thread (if you haven't done so already).  If that does not work, though, please do let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

You're posting to a pretty old thread.

What exactly does "didn't succeed" mean? What errors are you encountering?
