MS Dynamics CRM 4.0 Installation problem

Question
-
I am trying to install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for training purposes on a stand alone machine. The machine runs Windows 2003 Server Standard edition SP2. I have installed MS SQL Server 2005 SP2 on it.
I am getting the following error when I install it.
Setup was unable to verify that SQL Server Agent(SQLSERVERAGENT) was
running. An error has occured while establishing a connection to the
server. When connecting to the SQL Server 2005, this failure may be
caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL server does not
allow remote connections. (provider:Named Pipes Provider, error:40 -
Could not open a connection to SQL Server.
I have verified that the SQL Server AGent is running correctly. However on the screen where we enter the name of the computer which is running SQL server I am not getting this machine listed on refreshing.
In the SQL Server Configuration Manager I have enabled the protocal for Shared Memory, Named pipes and TCP/IP.
In the SQL Server Surface Area Configuration - Service area configuration for services and connections - database engine - remote connections I have enabled - Local and remote connections using both TCP/IP and named pipes.
I am still getting the same error. Any help will be greatly appreciated..

Is SQL setup for wndows & sql authentication (mixed mode) and does the user who is installing CRM have full rights to the SQL db? Here is an article on how to set the authentication mode you need.

have you ensured that the sql server agent is running on the same sql instance that you are installing CRM on?
It could be that there are more than one instances of sql on that machine?
