One Care Installation problem

I am having problems with OneCare installation on my stand alone laptop. After discovering that there was a problem, I followed all of the troubleshooting suggestions. When I check the Windows Live OneCare services, it is not marked as started. All the others are OK. When I try to start it, I receive the error message "Could not start the Windows Live OnceCare service on local computer. Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion."
Interestingly, when I go to uninstall to try again, OneCare is not listed as one of my programs in the Add/Remove programs list.

Make sure that Terminal Services is set to automatic and started.
use the cleanup tool to remove OneCare before reinstalling:
