     if i want to have Vista Ultimate installed on the current PC with VHP, all I need to do is to change the product key and then I have Vista Ultimate?

    It’s not quite that easy – unless you have the Anytime Upgrade option.
    For other license types, you would nee to do an upgrade install, starting the install from within windows.

    Unfortunately, Windows Vista editions are no longer sold by Microsoft.  You would be much better off upgrading to an edition of Windows 7.  Download and run the Windows  7 Upgrade Advisor.
