Tasks remember filter & sort RRS feed

  • Question

  • In previous versions of Windows Mobile, the tasks program would remember the filter selection and sorting of the last time I opened the program.  This made it very useful because I could have a category for all the important tasks and sort them so I could focus on them, and get to the rest at my leisure.

Now, regardless of the categories, each time I enter the Tasks program, I get an alphabetic list of all my active tasks, regardless of their category, priority or start date.  No filtering or sorting is kept.

Please can you restore the old functionality to remember these settings.

  • This is what I get on my Touch Pro 2 for sorting options.  The sorting options work, I sort by subject (personal choice) but the others work as well.  As an aside, the Filter option works as well although I choose to use the ALL option.

  • Jack,
the issue is that when you exit the program, all your sorting and filtering is lost, and next time you enter the program, you are presented with all tasks sorted alphabetically.

In previous versions of Windows Mobile, it remembered the sorting and filtering options.

I would like to have this 'remembering' restored in Windows Mobile v6.5.

  • MaryAlice, is there any feedback from the Microsoft team provided for these problems?  How can we find out if/when they are solved, and in what version of Windows Mobile?

  • As important as that issue is to you, when we submit a suggestion like yours, we know that the team has been made aware of the request however we do not know if it will be incorporated in the next release.
