Shared Record View RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to create a view where records that are shared with a user is displayed in the same view as records that the user owns. Is this possible with the solution explorer?

  • If you're sharing 'read' rights to the records, and the user normally only sees 'Individually Owned' records, then you can just provide a view of 'All' records = That will include both their own and records that have been shared with them.

However, if you're trying to create a view based on which records a user has received an 'Edit' share on, you'll need to build that through a report (assuming your CRM is on-premise). The 'Share' does not create a record that is available through advanced find.  (The share is in a table which can be queried through SQL if you're on-premise.)
