Which Way to go 70-536 or 70-562 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello EveryOne,
I am now preparing to go for microsoft certification, but getting a little bit confused.
Actually from last two years I am working on ASP.NET With C#,now I am planning to go for the certification which would help me to demostrate my skills more precisely. Now since I work with both ASP.NET and C# so I am confused which way to go.
And passing 70-536 and 70-562 both will get me a MCTS certificate.

Well you have to do the 70-536 regardless of what language you go for, see here: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-vstudio.aspx

Quote MS: "Pass Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework – Application Development Foundation. This exam is the foundation prerequisite for all Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 MCTS and MCPD certifications."

As for which language to go for, pick one then go for it.  However it does seem like you've already picked the .net one already.  At the end of the day it's the end qualification and your work experience that counts :)

from your words ,I am confused , you are working on Asp.net with C# for 2 years ,and want to demostrate my skills more precisely ,and we can get to know from the microsoft official site ,that If you want to get the credential ;MCTS :.net Framework 3.5Asp.net Applicatons ,you must pass both of 70-536 and 70-562 .

    70-536:microsoft .net Framework-Application Development Foundation
    70-562micosoft .net framework3.5,Asp.net Application development .
If you just want to demostrate your skill in ASp.net ,maybe you can just pass 70-562.
