Setup of Reporting Extensions RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a very strange problem trying to setup SSRS Extensions on SQL Server.

During the check of the environment by the setup process, I got the error :

“The version of the specified database is ulterior”

Did someone already got the problem ?

    Many thanks in advance,

  • Hi

I have never seen this problem before

However, I am curiouse to see your  issue

    Can you confirm,

    • have imported Database or you have created new organization?
    • Have you install any roll up before you installed Report Extention?

  • Hi,

In fact, it's a migration from CRM 4 to CRM 2011. I import CRM 4.0 organisation to a new fresh setup of CRM 2011.

But my customer wants to reuse its previous instance of SQL Server used by CRM 4.
Everything works fine, except for reporting as I could not manage to install reporting extension.
Previous CRM 4 data connector was correctly removed from the machine but when I try to setup Reporting Extension I got the error I've just described.

How the database could appear as "ulterior" as it's SQL Server 2008 ?

  • Hi

    Sorry for very late reply

In Deployment Manager can you see the Update Column in your Organization view

If you right click on your organization and if you find option "Update available" or "Update" on right click menu. please go ahead with that option which will update database version if it is requred to update
