microsoft office 2007 vs genuine advantage. I replaced my version by an legitimate one but the nag screen is still there: this is not ..... Working goes very slowly now.

Question
-
I have the same problem as:
I use Windows Vista home premium ( Dutch version) 32 bits- I had a version of Microsoft Office enterprise 2007 that was not legitimate. ( Dutch version) After receiving messages from genuine advantage.... I replaced my version by an legitimate one but the nag screen is still there: this is not ..... Working goes very slowly now.
I uninstalled not legit version of course ( using Revo uninstaller ) then installed legit version - using product key - restarted pc - opened Word: same result ( nag screen) - clicked on nag screen and validated: validation successful ( I can update and download updates). still no
What can i do?Tuesday, June 23, 2009 1:17 PM

Hello PhDs,
As we mentioned in the thread you refrenced, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button, then paste the report into a response message in this thread.
Also, just to confirm, you too were using a non-genuine (Dutch version) copy of Office Enterprise 2007, you uninstalled it using Revo uninstaller, then installed a Genuine copy of Office and while it Validates a Genuine, it still shows the Non-Genuine "Nag" screen?
If my summery of your issue is not completly accurate, please provide a complete summery of your particular issue.
Thank you,

We seem to be seeing this a little more frequently in the OGA forum, people who had a bogus Office installation and then got rid of the bogus installation and installed a genuine one, but are having a devil of a time getting the OGA utility to see that they now have a genuine Office installation.
Maybe what we need is a little utility that clears the cached result so that the current status can be reflected? A standalone utility would work, or somehow integrated into the mgadiag utility and executed when the Resolve button is clicked?

Hi Dan,
I've passed on your reqest (actually I sent it to our Dev first, to see if it's reasonably feasible, then we'll send it to the PMs for approval).
Currently, what is the manual resolution steps that usually fixs this type of issue (I'm just getting back into Office Validation and am not fully ramped up on the current common issues & resolutions)
Thanks,
DarinMonday, June 29, 2009 3:10 PM -
PhDs and Sergio197233,
Would you go to http://microsoft.com/genuine/diag and click the Start Diagnostic button. It will check that your OC is set up correctly to Activate.
Once you pass the Diagnostic, click the Validate Office button.
If Office Validate as Genuine, reboot and see if Office still give the Non-Genuine notification
If Office validates a non-Genuine the re-run the MAG Diagnostic Report and report.
Thanks,
