[UWP][C++][Xbox] IMFSinkWriter - WriteSample problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I have an UWP application that saves audio and video frames like here: https://github.com/mmaitre314/PictureMovie/blob/master/Extensions/PictureMovie.cpp
    The application works correctly on computers and phones. However, the Xbox often causes an error during the operation of adding audio or video frame: "
    This object needs to be initialized before the requested operation can be carried out." The example below:

    // Write the media sample - error on XBox - line 93
    here: https://github.com/mmaitre314/PictureMovie/blob/master/Extensions/PictureMovie.cpp
    CHK (_spSinkWriter-> WriteSample (_streamIndex, spSample.Get ()));

    The initialization was done correctly.

    Does anyone have an idea why the error only occurs on the console and what is the reason?

    Thanks for the help,
    Kiczmaker

  • Hi,

    Well, since it's a third party sample, it would be better that you could ask the author about this in the Issues page of the GitHub.

    Best regards,

    Roy
