I'd like to incorporate hyperlinks in user profiles for members of a forum site I run internally at my office that would initiate a voice or video call between two Office Communicator users. What would the syntax be to accommodate this? I tried
using "sip:" followed by the e-mail address of the recipient user, but that just opened a chat window. I tried "callto:" with the e-mail address as well as the IP, but it always gives me an error: "The specified address is not recognized or does not
exist..."
Is this even possible? I mean, I know the voice and video works in our current configuration.
FYI, we are not using this as a SIP solution for our telecommunications. This is purely an in-house, desktop-to-desktop implementation of Office Communicator (and Live Meeting, as well).
