Incomplete Default-Solution export RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I have troubles exporting and reimporting a defaultsolution (CRM 2013). Wenn import the solution, I always get an error that in the solution.xml in the <RootComponents>-Tag the "authorizationserver" ist missing.

    In fact, if you look at this file, there es really no tag for this entity

     <RootComponents>
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="account" />
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="activitymimeattachment" />
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="activitypointer" />
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="annotation" />
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="appointment" />
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="bulkoperation" />
          <RootComponent type="1" schemaName="businessunit" />
    .....

    what make this very strange is that this behavior does not happen all the time. Sometimes if you be in luck, the missing entry is in the solution file and the reimport works fine.

    Does anybody have a suggestion what going wrong there?

    Many thanks

    Klemens

  • Hello k.duschlbauer,

    Witch versions of CRM you are trying to export it and import it to?

    If you exporting the solution from older version of CRM (early release) and then importing it to a new version of CRM one of the reasons that could be is on the older version to not have that "authorizationserver" and to the new one to have it and look for it.

  • Hi,

    we use CRM 2013 SP1. Both systems should be identical. If you look at the default solution on the source-system you can see the missing entity. But now it is getting very strange... on the target-sytem this managed entity is not in the solution BUT if you look in the database of this system you can find a view for this entity.

    I really do not know whats going wrong there.

    Kind regards
