OCS 2007 RTM QoE and Communicator R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anybody know whether the OCS 2007 RTM QoE server gather quality of experience from Communicator R2 clients?

Given the media stack gathers the quality information off the network, I assume the QoE server will pick up the R2 quality metrics.

  • Although using R2 clients in a RTM deployment isn't really supported outisde of coexistence scenarios, the QoE infromation should be gathered the same with either version client.

  • Thanks, I think it will work to.

On a different note, in regards to the R2 client support and OCS 2007 RTM "isn't really supported outisde of coexistence scenarios".  "Coexistence", as in a mix of OCS RTM and R2 servers?  There is no official support statement that I can find (or get) from Microsoft on using the R2 client against an OCS 2007 RTM, yet it seems to work fine, and I've heard of a couple deployments doing it in production.

    Am I missing something?
