Can't Install intel RST or activate windows RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello I have a z87 pro asus mother board with a i7-4770k. I recently came across two errors: I think the windows activation error came from updating windows. I noticed that the intel RST was having an error saying it wasn't running so I was hoping to uninstall it and then re-install but it didn't work. I tried to update the bios to version 1707 which was found here: https://www.asus.com/microsite/2014/MB/New_4th_gen_Intel_processor_compatibility/#models

For then intel RST I tried all 14.XX versions as well as 12.7 and 12.8. I'm not sure if these two are related at all but I'm really hoping to relsolve these errors. Thanks!

Also: I was getting the not genuine error and I seemingly got rid of it by using the SLMGR - REARM.

  • Download and install the latest Intel Chipset Drivers. Then restart your PC, run another MGA report and post it here. Thanks!

  • MS seem to have withdrawn the specific fixit for this problem :(

    Try this one instead...

Download the Easyfix for the Find and fix problems with devices and hardware

    Save it to your
desktop, and then double-click on it to run it - follow any advice given.

    Once complete,
reboot, and post another MGADiag report.
