    What issues are you having? Is Windows giving you messages that you "may be a victim of software piracy." ?

    If it is, can you please follow the steps below?

    1. Download and run the WGA Diagnostic Tool  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy to Clipboard". Paste the results into your forum response.

    That will let us know what issues you are having.

    Sorry, but there is no uninstall option for the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications file. The notifications will disappear once you install a genuine licensed version of Windows.

    In order to resolve a non-genuine licensing issue, please visit: www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on "Validate Windows". When validation fails, you'll see a button to click on (Get Genuine) which will provide information on your options and also how to acquire a WGA Kit.

  • I have had my desktop for 3 years and it has run without issue or problem until Sunday morning when I could not access e-mail accounts and perform other functions.  I rebotted and got a notification that  may not have genuine Windows Software and could have a counterfeit copy.  I validated my certification tag on the computer and verified it with the manufacturer of the PC that I bought pre-installed with windows XP-Professional.  My copy of the software is genuine so I do I restore my computer so I don'y have this issue?  I am not a compter wiz. I ran the diagnostic tool and this is what came up:

    I also have had my computer for 3 years and had my xp home edition pre-installed before purchase, my computer crashed and I had to re-install windows when I went to validate it said it wasn't a genuine edition I have run diagnostic tool
