    I am trying headless administration but cannot start remote desktop with my Vista Laptop. Is this a known issue. It works fine from my desktop which runs XP

    Windows Vista Home Premium does not support RDP Server. You can only remote desktop on outgoing connections not imcoming... Vista Enterprise and Vista Ultimate are the only two versions that support this. Sorry!

    Try going to Start/Run

    mstsc.exe /v:server /console

    See if your able to connect to the WHS.

    I can access the home server console......just not remote desktop....I believe from another post this is not possible with vista home premium. Thanks for the advice though
