Unpropose as answer feature RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Sometimes, thanks to the great world of AJAX and interactive websites, and accidentally click the "Propose as answer" button of my own posts, or simply because my brains tell me that the button with the green icon at the right is the reply button. However, it is the "Propose as answer" button.

It would be great if I could "unpropose an answer" in these cases (but only for my own posts, otherwise a battle of proposals and unproposals will start.

  • There have been earlier threads on this with very similar content. Nothing has yet come of the idea.

  • I agree.

There have been times that I was too quick to propose an answer, before I read the entire thread.

  • I concur!

I just accidentally clicked the wrong post and marked it as the answer :P It really needs an undo button eh?

Maybe it can have a, "Click Propose a second time to confirm" javascript toggle which requires two clicks of the link to actually perform the action.

  • It could say "Are you serious?".

You should be able to unpropose your own proposal, just as you can if it is your thread or if you are a moderator.
