Squished Window but Reversed from Typical

Question
-
I seem to have a similar issue involved with dual monitors and squished remote window, but different from what others seem to be seeing. At work I have a dual monitor Vista system, and I connect to my home box, which is a single monitor, XP SP3 install. At work when I connect, where I have two monitors, I get the sqished window. Everything is visually on the left side of the window, but the button seems to work as if the buttons, links, whatever were where they should be.
I workaround mostly with keyboard shortcuts, and for the rest, I look for the hot tracking cues (mouseovers for buttons, tooltips, etc) to tell me where my mouse is. I told my work box to not extend the desktop, but that had no effect. It made no difference to show the desktop as actual size.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Corey Furman

I actually missed this on my first pass, but a bug already exists for this exact problem - perhaps you could add your weight / experience / logs to it:

Good Luck!

Although this does sound as though it's reverse to everything else that's been posted, the sticky does hint that this might be a known bug:
Issue: When you use Live Mesh Remote Desktop to connect to a dual-monitor system, the display is squished.Workaround: Click Show desktop as actual size and your dual-monitor display should display correctly. This may not work if you have more than two monitors. This feature is still in development.
The second part ("This may not work if you have more than two monitors.") seems to indicate that regardless of the target machine there may be problems using Remote Desktop from a dual monitor machine. That said, I have never experienced any problems (I connect from a dual to a single as well). Could this be something to do with your video drivers on either of the machines?
I'd suggest that you lodge a bug on Connect with logs from both computers. You can collect your logs by (from the front page):
1. Click Start.
2. Select All Programs and then the Live Mesh folder.
3. Click Collect Live Mesh Logs.
4. Your logs will be bundled together in a .cab file now located on your desktop.
Post your Connect ID back here / any resolution they find, in case it happens to be something that is user fixable.- Edited by nachmore Monday, December 15, 2008 4:59 PM dropped an 'e'...

Thanks. I searched the forum, but didn't think about Connect.
When I try to go to that bug though, I get invalid Feedback ID. Can you confirm your link?
Thanks
Thanks,

Works over here - have you added the Live Mesh Beta to your Connect?
If not, and if it isn't open sign up then I would suggest emailing lmprev@microsoft.com and asking for Connect access.Monday, December 15, 2008 5:21 PM -
It's (now) on my dashboard, and I can see lots of other bugs but not that one. This is what I get in Advanced find:

Hi Corey,
Thanks for sending us email. We want you to be able to validate the existing bug, but if Connect is being uncooperative, email works, too. We'll make sure your report gets recorded one way or another. ;)

The really funky thing is that going the other way, from one monitor local to two on the remote, it works fine. I'm using it that right now from home.
