Activity logged for each attendee? RRS feed

  • I am trying to determine if this is possible.

    We have situations where we will have 2-3 people visiting a client. If one person organizes the meeting in Outlook, includes 1-2 required attendees, and clicks Track in CRM , there is only one activity logged - for the owner only. Is there a way within OOB CRM functionality to have each attendee gettingcredit for having this activity - or only the owner?

    If not OOB functionality, has anyone done a workflow or plug-in regarding this issue?

  • Hi Marcus, unfortunately only one activity gets created regardless of how many attendees there are. This makes it very difficult to credit attendees other than the appointment owner. When I have used CRM for time tracking (using Service Activities) each consultant created their own service activity -- even if they were all doing the same thing for the same customer on the same day. Otherwise, no credit.

  • Let me add that I know that from CRM you can add a User as an attendee and this will create an activity for that co-worker who is an attendee at the meeting. Can I do this from Outlook?
