escaping @ in OCS sign-in name RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

    i have the following problem:
i want to connect a new OCS to an existing call-controler (Cisco Callmanager) using RCC. In order to make RCC work, the OCS sign in name has to be the same, as the CallManager username.
The Problem is: the CCM username looks like user@customer . So the sign in name would be user@customer@domain - which is not allowed. i tried to escape the character @ as described in rfc3261 :
For example, "@" is not in the set of characters in the user
component, so the user "j@s0n" must have at least the @ sign encoded,
    as in "j%40s0n
but i still get the error: "The specified address may not exist, or the server may not be available"

is there a way to use an @ in the sing-in name?

    Any help/idea/comment would be appreciated.

    Kind regards - GRI

  • Not expected to work.
More generally I advise against going the RCC route from a strategic point of view. Much more functionality / bang for the buck with a full UC deployment, and IP2IP connection between the Cisco side and teh OCS side
