Error after Windows Update RRS feed

  • Hi,
     
    Can anyone share any insight to this problem?

    After a Windows Update on the head node, my customer experienced the following problems.
    1. Cannot connect to the cluster using the admin console.
    2. Cannot connect to the cluster using the job manager console.
    3. Anti-virus software gets disabled. (Mcafee 8.0)

    The most recent updates and patches would be KB950760, KB950762, KB951698, KB950759 and KB949014.

    Any insights would be most helpful.

    Do you have more information about the specific errors you were seeing? Perhaps some better repro steps?

    Specifically, are you running the admin console from a server separate from the head node? If so, can you ping the head node? Can you log on locally to the head node and take a peek in the event logs to see if anything strange pops up in there?

  • Hi Ryan,

    My apologies, I haven't been checking back often enough.

    The admin console is running from another XP PC. They can, however, log in via RDP.

    Checked the firewall, all off.
