  • You have your location set to ><TimeZone>Västeuropa, normaltid(GMT+01:00).  Is that your actual location?  If not, you need to correct it.

To change the country or region setting:

    1. Open Region and Language by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Region and Language.

    2. Click the Location tab, select your location from the list, and then click OK.

  • You need to correct the time problem.  It is causing the licensing issue.  You give no info about your computer but it sounds like you have a problem with the CMOS battery.

You have a bigger problem than just the time service :(

Carey is incorrect - the above error is probably NOT caused by any time issue - although they may have a common cause.

Please first try recreating the Licensing Store.

    Recreate the Licensing Store
    1) Click Start button.
    2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
    3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
    4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
    5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    8) Type: net start sppsvc
    9) Type: slui.exe
    10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sitcker on eht machine's case

  • I have changed CMOS battery and entered current time and date in bios. I cannot tell if that helped the time issue since i just did. Though i did the steps and on step 6) i get this message - A duplicate file name exists, or the file cannot be found. I did go through all steps but gets the same error code. I have run Fixit and here is the MGADiag report.

There is significant data missing from your report - namely the Licensing data section.
Such data is never totally missing in any report I have seen, unless excised by the originator (and was not missing from your original report).
Please run MGADiag again, and post the full data

  • No - you still have the 'null data' error in slmgr

You may still not be able to validate the system. what happens if you attempt validation at

    www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

    ?
Assuming it fails, run the Licensing Store rebuild again - not the change in line 6 (highlighted) to avoid filename clashes.

Please first try recreating the Licensing Store.

    Recreate the Licensing Store
    1) Click Start button.
    2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
    3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
    4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
    5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar3
    7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    8) Type: net start sppsvc
    9) Type: slui.exe
    10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sitcker on eht machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

  • If i try to validate at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

i get the response that i got a valide windows 7 and can choose to use MS essentials etc. Going through the steps and reboot i still got the same null data from the MGADiag as you can see and same error code 0x8007000d. Its really wierd since it works if i format the hdd and install Windows 7 from scratch to validate it. I will try a clean install again now that i know the CMOS battery is new and time wont be out of sync.
