  Since upgrade from 2003 is no longer available you need to start fresh either with MCSA 2008 or MCSA 2012, where I would strongly recommend to start directly with MCSA 2012 http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsa-windows-server-certification.aspx

  For which you need 3 exams 70-410, 70-411, 70-412http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-410.aspx
  http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-411.aspx
  http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-412.aspx

  Once you hold the MCSA 2012, you can upgrade to MCSE 2012 with 2 additional exams

  http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcse-server-infrastructure-certification.aspx

  As of January 2014 all these exams do include the Windows Server 2012 R2 content, so it's the most up to date certification.
