    Is it possible to use Windows Home Server as the operating system for a SOHO?

    Like for sharing data, printer and such over more than 4 pc?

    Any hardware recommendation like router, switch and such ?

    Or any other suggestion.

    Yes, there are 10 CALs with it.  Switch I'd say something quality gigabit.  The blue Netgear stuff is popular with small businesses.

    While it's possible to use WHS as the only server for a small business, it's not designed for that use, and at this time it's probably inadvisable to use it as a file server due to the file corruption issue detailed in kb946676.

    However, it's a relatively cheap backup/restore solution for small businesses.

    SBS (small business server) I reckon - you can get pre-configured systems from Dell, HP all ready to go.
