MSCRM 4.0 Change Web Address like MSCRM 2011 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I've a question about a large tier deployment. Currently I'm in the situation to deploy multiple application servers for client frontend - external, for client frontend - internal and multiple platform servers - internal.

What means that I have a FQDN for the External Frontend Servers, a FQDN for Internal Frontend Servers and a FQDN for Platform Servers which all terminate by a load balancer.

My problem is when we establish a connection over the LB FQDN for Platform, the processing is translated to a single Server and not to the LB FQDN.

    This is the flow:

    1. Initiate Connection to Platform FQDN (example FQDN-Platform.corp.intra)

    2. LB opens another session to the Platform Service Nodes.

    3. Discovery Service answers to the LB with the single server name of one platform server node.

We want that at step 3. the CRM discovery service is answering with a custom FQDN and not with http://Servername/MSCRMService/2007/serviceurl

Is there an option to configure the Web Address for Discovery, Deployment and Organization Web service and also for the Web Application Server like in CRM 2011?

Maybe registry keys or in the databases directly?

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards,

    Chris
