  • Hi atims,

Three years of experience is a good thing. That means you should have enough working experience. It won't mean that you can skip one of the MCTS requirements. The MCPD is a track consisting of various certifications as described here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcpd.aspx#tab2

The experience is only meant to be a base for a greater chance of success.

So it's time to go for a minimum of two MCTS certs and one MCPD requirement to become an MCPD. It's up to you to look for the certification path you are after because exams vary in that retrospect. For instance web development of windows forms dvelopment.

I'd say go for it step by step and use your experience ;-)

Exam 70-511: MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Windows Applications

Exam 70-513: MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Service Communication Applications

Exam 70-516: MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Data Access

    AND

Exam 70-518: PRO: Designing and Developing Windows Applications Using Microsoft .NET Framework 4

  • Great, MCPD in .NET 4 (70-518).  Excellent news about this new certification.  But, industry is already lacking in FW 3.5 and so Microsoft needs to build learning strategy for promoting .NET 4
