off topic - Broken Code for Windows Live Mail RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi... Have been a user of (first) hotmail (and then) live mail for over 10 years now. This is my first complaint.

The code is broken to try and open up "www.hotmail.com" in  Firefox so that the only thing that shows up is a blank white screen. Upon reloading, a strange series of code comes up that flashes across the screen too quick to copy and paste here.

I switched to Safari to see if it was just that browser's way of viewing the page, and received this error upon sign in:

Safari can’t open the page “http://mail.live.com/default.aspx?n=523893250&wa=wsignin1.0”. The error was: “cannot decode raw data” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1015) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

Now, in Firefox again, I tried the site again, and it worked fine, loading my account instantly since I was logged in already for this blasted forum (which is an annoying way to send a support request, I have to mention).

I've had problems with the mail server before, but nothing as bad as this yet, and certainly nothing to report before. However, this might have just lost you a long time customer as being the straw that broke the camel's back. It was working yesterday around 10pm and then stopped working at around midnight. This is Central Standard Time.

If you dare to suggest "try using I.E.;" don't. That software is buggier than an ant colony. Hence why I switched from the browser YEARS ago now. I know you guys are just trying to do your job, but the world is bigger than one web browser. It's nice to play nice with all of them. Exclusivity in browser viewership will only count Microsoft out of the future's larger equation. Just my two cents.
