  • If you run a manual virus scan does the program also crash?

I'll try that in a few but here's what I get running the Tuneup.

    Green - Remove unnecessary files.

Green - Defragment the hard disk.

Stop during process - Scan for viruses and other potentially unwanted software.

Then the OneCare virus protection is turned off and will not turn on.

Also states that I need to run Tuneup.

On the other hand, the individual status sections are all good. Showing virus and spyware definitions up-to-date and a complete scan. OneCare doesn't make it to the backup but previous Tuneups worked 100%.

    Yes it does.

OneCare doesn't stop just the virus and spyware monitoring. It will not turn on until I restart.
