Microsoft once again screw VB Programmers RRS feed

  • News Flash: August 13, 2008 - Microsoft offers lip service by telling ONE MS employe(Jesse Liberty) to offer VB Code/Examples to Silverlight 2

Microsoft Corporation - in its typical fashion of adding fuel to the fire that Visual basic programmers are second class citizens, Microsoft Corporation has decided to direct ONLY 1 employee to offer Visual Basic tutorial & code to its new technology Silverlight 2.

Silverlight 2 is a new technology offering fluid websites somewhat like Flash but with deep database & .net progamming. However, whether intentioanlly or not, MS has looked the other way as this new technology has been touted as being a tool for C# programmers.

Microsoft has had a long track record of offering Visual Basic programmers crumbs when it comes to support. This latest move is no stranger to that policy.

If you are a Visual Basic programmer, wake up: Website technology is being heavily fluid, and you are either part of the new technology or you are out. Better you learn Action Script now, as Microsoft has demonstrated it is offering very little of its resources to allow you, the ____ VB programmer, to be part of that new wave!
